Need Help!- Centurion IV Post Help.

I have been looking for a post for my Centurion IV with the rs-232 port. Having trouble finding one, contacted my dealer and they say the machine is too old. Using Mastercam x3, I am wondering if anyone has one that works for that or can help me modify one to work. PLEASE HELP!!!

Not so good for you but good information for anyone considering mastercam. Yet another my dealer won't help me post. All too common.

All installation disks have generic posts, These are improved posts when compared to the V8/V9 releases. Have you been through all of these to find the closest possible match to your machine. This would give you the starting post to modify.

Not a good reason for the dealer to use. Sounds as if he was not interested.

Centurion IV is a very strange duck. Nothing on the disk will be close.

If memory is correct the only issue is the sequence of I,J,K in G03 and G04 other than that it is either Fanuc or Yasnac compatible with the addition of "macro" programming. We did have the programming books around here but cannot find them. We had a Milltronics many years ago and used BobCAD, the original DOS version, it was an extremely good program at the time. If I run across the manuals I'll update this post. You might be able to get the manuals from Milltronics.

Another thing, run the slow 300 baud rate because the timing is critical and the PC is sloppy. Have you been able to send code to the machine and was is recieved as sent?
