Hello all, I'm in the design phase of building a home brew 3D printer. I'm thinking because of the lightness of components. That perhaps I can utilize most of the guts of a few old printers. My question is this, Can I use the controller cards of these old printers? If so, what do I have to do to make this thing work, with say! conventional g-code or other such available software? TIA Neil |

hi, just wondering what you are calling a 3d printer? do you mean like a pen plotter that can lift and drop the pen tip, or something with a print head that can print on non flat surfaces? More curious here than able to help. |

| there is another post like this, where i suggest a few ways to rig-up a system comprable to z-corp without having to do the hard part -adapting an inkjet nozzle... it lets you experiment with a regular ghostscript and java solution...
