I think each CAM packages postprocessor's would be edited in different ways. Some have built in editing tools, some can be edited with a text editor. It really depends on the CAM package.
G'day
Does anyone know if there is any software or books in existence that could assist in postprocessor editing. It would be very useful.

Yes, Gerry is quite correct. WorkNC for example, uses line configurations which are clearly defined in the user manual. It is easy for a user to open the post in Wordpad and do all kinds of modifications rather quickly. Some other posts, although editable, are quite a bit more complex.

Dan and Gerry are correct: It depends on what software you're using. Mastercam, for example, provides it's own programming language for post editing similar to any other programming language, called MP.
Other software packages don't allow you to modify your posts at all. If you have a specific software in mind, we might be able to steer you in the right direction.
