I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just purchased BobCAD V19, and am trying to generate code for my Bridgeport Seris 1 R2E4. It has a BOSS 9 control. The first issue I ran into was getting an error on the machine, "char not xon from port B". BobCAD helped me resolve this by having me put an @017 in the first line of code. I can now get programs to the machine, but it seems like the machine is not getting the proper command to end transmission. It will sit and say loading program xyz until I interrupt the transmission. The other issue I am having is with the g-code itself. I tried running a simple pocket with island program, and the machine was moving in all different directions, nothing like the part. I am relatively new to machining, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have not had much success with the BobCAD tech. support. |
