Turning posts are a different beast to milling posts and are not met often, so you may have to write you own. The good news is that it shouldn't be that hard. What decisions have you made about sub-routines i.e. will they be in subprograms or called by line numbers? Do these lathes have more than on turret or tool magazine (that will make the post messy)?

sub-routines is a no i will use line numbers to control and they both have 1 turret but the mri does have a sub spindle. the idea was to make it easy for a trainee to learn the software and the machines in one go, would it be better to stick to solidcam for our haas and just manual program the lathes and not use solidcam?
