Cool .pst files...are they .txt files

I'm searching the web for file extension .pst (post file from Virtual Gibbs) and it keeps telling me its an Outlook Express mail file. How do I open or read it?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

You probably cant if its a proprietary format. Try right click, 'open with', 'choose program' and select notepad to see if its really text inside... (bet you it isn't tho)

The common use of the .pst extension is a Microsoft Outlook mail 'personal storage' database. Its unlikely any of the web info sources would recognise it as anything else because the Virtual Gibbs product is so specialised.

File extensions are not unique and any vendor can call their files what they like. However looking at the Gibbs site their post process files would seem to have the extension .PP, so maybe this really is an Outlook file, in which case its mainly binary data with some text.. does any of the text make sense/give a clue as to its origin?

GibbsCam post files use the .pst extension, and you need the Compost software (proprietary Gibbs) to edit them.

You cannot open Gibbs .pst files with Posthaste. Posthaste is a dll that runs as a plug-in in Gibbs and uses its own post templates & extensions:

    .pm2 - .pm5
    .pt2 - .pt4
    .pu2 - .pu5
    .pl2 - .pl5
    .pf2
    .pp2
    .pe2
    .pw2

Correct, but you still need the associated .txt file.
