    GibbsCam to Fadal 4020

In program Gibbs Cam 7.7 must I transform program to G code for machine FADAL VMC 4020. Postprocesor recognizes only 2.5D milling. How in GibbsCam opens postprocesor, that he can be changed him, that bi enabled to also 3D Milling?

Be interested in me above all, how that to open Postprocesor.

You need the Gibbs Compost software to edit the posts. Are you sure the problem is the post and not your toolpaths themselves? It seems rather odd there would be a Fadal post that only outputs 2.5D toolpaths.

    Go to this link:

You can find many Fadal posts there that should work for you.

No, sorry, I made a mistake, postprocessor recognizes also 3D milling (3-axis vertical milling). But it is not able to produce the 4-axis programm. I was trying with some of your postprocessors but also there it is impossible to mill 4-axis. Now I do not know anymore if the problem is in postprocessor or if I make a mistake in GibbsCam. Do postprocessors on link make the 4-axis milling possible?

Is it possible to transport a programm in G-code from the machine to PC in GibbsCam programm? In concrete case I would like to transport a programm from FADAL machine to PC. Computer PC is at the machine, by switch I change between CNC and PS mode. In GibbsCAM programm I press ˝send˝ and the programm sends it to the CNC. How could I make that the other way round? Therefore I would like to transport an active programm in CNC to hard disk of PC computer.

    Hi andrejculk

Most of the posts on burgerboy are not very usefull meaning they don't work very well
Gibbs has to turn your 3axes post into a 4axes post there my be someone out there with a post for your machine but they payed a lot of money for it compost software is what is used to do your post but it is hard to find were to get it & still would be cheaper to get Gibbs to do it for you or someone that has the software & knows how to use it

Yes, you can send & receive data with the communication function in Gibbs. When you open it up there is an icon for send and one for receive. If I remember correctly, first you enable receive in Gibbs then go to the machine and upload. The drawback to the communication utility in Gibbs is you have to wait for data upload/download to finish before you can do any work in Gibbs. And when I used it, if communication with the machine is interrupted and crashes you had to shut down Gibbs. For my Fadals I used NCFadal for sending/receiving data.

Send to Gibbs from the machine. Just a matter of semantics depending which end you are standing at
