    What control?
Do you have an example of the code you are looking for?
Your reseller can modify MPMASTER to do what you want or you can go to Emastercam.com and ask for advice about editing your post. Just don't ask for a post...you won't like the result.

The Controller is based on a generic Fanuc. If you contact mastercam they will create a custom Post processor for you.

    pardon my english

I subscribe with above, Your reseller should help you. But still it is quite fun to edit it by your self. You have to find a post that is allmost right and if you have some experience of programming it is quite easy in mc8 (probably mc9 allso, haven't run it so I don't know) at least easier modifications. Set the debug to on in the post, then you post the toolpath as usual and after each line you see what the post got the line from. From that you can find out where you shall make your changes in the post. I have just started to work with mcX and it is a little bit more complex but still possible. In mcX you turn on debug in the control definitions. Don't forget to do a backup of your original post before you begin.

    Mastercam Posts

    Hello All

Mastercam used to publish a manual on Post Processors called, as you might expect, the Post Processor User Guide it had, in V5 the part number 001-090994-P5006.

Writing or modifying post processors are part of the dealers' support to their end users but also part of their income so help is not always forth coming so ask CNC Software direct if they sell a copy for your MC version.

I have a copy of the V5 manual and will provide a little help to any forum user but a good place to start is always the Fanuc posts as so many controls are similar, also my experience in post is now very old!

    Regards

    Richard

    bucont,

The Pre V8 Mastercam post is very easy to rework so that it will meet your needs. I'm licensed upto V9 and still prefer to post with a highly modified V5 post. I summitted a copy of my V5 post, which provided a RefHt for milling, to Mastercam and V7 was released with with RefHt for milling. At that time I had absolutely no experience with any type of computer programming. Grab a cold beer and open a post file in any text editor play with it. The experience will only make your? Mastercam better serve your needs. A word of advice; if you contact Mastercam regarding post processor then their first response will will be a question, bear in mind that they now have your phone number.

Sounds like we start with the generic Fanuc post and go from there. Thanks all.
