Im writing posts for mastercam V9. As I know MastercamX can translates version 9 post to version X. But you have to check it out. other possinility is to write new post, there I can help you.

As timoty stated... you can convert V9 posts for MCX. If you have one, just do that. If this is a "first" system for you, then your dealer should be nice enough to provide you with one. Many dealers will also work with you to get a Version X post even on an upgrade though....

    Famous....

Open MCX, go to "Settings" and select "Run User Application". Or just type in 'alt c'. This takes you to the Chooks folder. Select the file called "UpdatePost.dll". This will open a window for you to convert a previous version post. Select version 9 in the options menu for update version, then click on "select post(s)" and browse for your post that you want to convert. Click the check mark and it will create a X post for you. At the point of clicking ok, you can also have check marks to create a Machine definition and Control definitions for you... as well as log files to see how successful the conversion was.

    FamousX1

Did you ever find a post for your Takisawa lathe? I need the same thing for my SurfCam Velocity 4. Does anyone have a Surfcam lathe post for the Fanuc 21it ?
