Has anyone got a siemens 840D post to suit a hyundai 30M lather with Live tooling/C-axis or alternatively just a siemens 810C/840D 2 axis lather post for gibbscam??? |

| Big thanks to the people who have supplied me with siemens 810d posts, but unfortunately I actually need either an 810c or 840d post as the 810d post is a fair bit different or else maybe it's just in this part of the world they are different. |

hey i think i will join the line asking any souls out there if they have a post processor for the siemens 810d turning, for mastercam v9, this controller drives me nuts every time you think it is sorted out it comes and bites you in the ass with another trick up its sleeve, help help help!!!! |

Do you still have the post for Siemens 840D to Gibbs I would be very pleased if you could send me one or if you know where to find one. B/R Fredrik |

I have: Mill Posts: Siemens - 810m, 820m, 840m, 850D, 850pen, and 840c Lathe Posts: Siemens - 801t, 805, 810t, and 820t Hyundai HiTrol - 805, 840, and 840c

| hi there i never found a post, but what i did was i modified the hitachi post in mastercam , which is kind of similar because it uses i and k incrementals, what i found out was the siemens controller accepts straight g-code, but you got to strip all the bells and whistles , so i went thru the code in the post removing strings which generated the bells and whistles although it is not absolutely perfect, and i still have to add the tool in at the beginning, (eg; T01), it works good, i use cimcoedit5 professional , http://www.cimco-software.com/ , to view the code to see all is well, in the siemens controller you also need to change it over to g-code for it to recieve the code and work, also when when posting you need to change the file format to .mpf , hope this helps, i will try and upload my modified post |
