I just fired up a Tormach mill with Mach2 software, replacing a Cardinal mill than i had modified a fanuc post to use MasterCam 7.2 with it. Anyone with experience using a generic fanuc post with mc 7.2? Looking for a starting point. Minimum experience with posts. High school Tech instructor here. Thanks see2nen

Any Luck? Hi, I'm kind of in the same boat... Had a Centroid COntroller made by Cardinal Engineering and then updated to a Mach3 control.. I was wondering if you had and luck finding a proper MAch3 post procesor? Steve T.

scrapped old Cardinal controller I had to scrap my old Cardinal controller as the communications went bad. I talked to Roland from Cardinal about it, and have decided to use a new controller with Gecko or similar drivers etc. I will try to build a controller this winter for the Cardinal mill. Currently I'm using my new Tormach mill and using a generic fanuc post processor for my Mastercam files. See2nen

Cardinal COntroller Ya, I sold a working CNC4 controller a few months back and got almost $700 for it. Almost enout to pay for the G-100 and G-202's. Roland bid on the controller too.... but he was way low... Have you made any modificaiton to post to make it work any better? Steve

not yet I will use a pressure mechanism to keep the z axis rack backlash down. Mine was one of the first mills and needs a spring or simmilar pressure on the rack to keep the Z axis "tight" during operations. Other than that I haven't planned much else yet. Seetoen
