I need to transfer tool offset values from measuring machine (DMG microvision 2) to HAAS CNC milling machine by using flash drive. in order to do so, i need suitable post processor to convert the output file produced by the measuring device. Where can i find the exact post processor??

Ive already use few post processor such as Mill Plus and Heidenhain but id dsnt work.

Buy me a Beer?

Ist , you have to find the actual format that the HAAS accepts to update the tool data files and the extension it outputs

Here is an example of an Okuma machine
CNC machine code.....( G1 X0 etc ) ... and uses a .MIN extension on the filename
Tool+Offset data....
Code:
P100 ( Work origin )
Q1X0.00Y0.00Z0.00B0.00
P200 ( tool length )
Q1R0.00
P201 ( tool radius )
Q1R0.00
.... and uses a .SET extension
When you have this info, then find a way for the tool measure m/c to output your tool marshall file in that format.
( I assume you have tools assembled and lengthed offline, ready to go after the current job )

There is 2 methods you could use,
  1. -create a file that is directly up-loaded into the tool data page of the machine
  2. -create a NC file, set as the active program, and run it to update the tool data page using G code to update system parameters ( you could even have a subprogram file - that is called and run at the start of each file, so that you could save it and the program at the end of the run.

Both methods require you to discover the correct format possibilities for the NC machine, not the tool measure

.PM .MM .H are DMG MilPlus and Heidenhain formats and would not be compatable with a HAAS

DMG CMM to HAAS CNC tool offset data transfer app

If you can send me an e-mail with a sample attached data file from the DMG CMM containing the tool offset values I should be able to develop for you an
application that would convert the data format to a file that can be loaded on a flash drive and read as input on the HAAS CNC milling machine.

If you have an example of the HAAS file format it would be helpful, but I have good technical contacts at HAAS to get the information.

Once I receive the file from you I will use it to cretae a statement of work (quote) for the project

Best regards,
Larry
