Isn't it time to put an end to the post processor madness?
Wouldn't you like to use a generic post like FANUC ... then run that code through something that will auto convert it to your machine ... Dynapath, Siemens, Okuma ... whatever?
How about the ability to take a proven G code program running on one machine ... and auto-convert it to run on another machine? ... without re-posting it and losing all the edits that had been made !!

That time has come ... KipwareXC and CNC XChange from Kentech Inc. can make that happen.
Here's a couple of links for additional information :

Bluechip and all the others suffering with the mysterious postprocessors,
Back in the old school days (1970's ) we had "Binary Cutter Location"
There were 100+ machines all running the same data format, 7" floppy disc.
posting was done internally at the machine control. Vega controls.
Eliminated all problems, did major machined structures 3-5 axis three spindles..
Seems like those machine control E.E.'s keep changing things when it was all figured out and in use.

    Hello everyone,
I am new to CNC machines, & I am a part time hobbyist, iam constructing 5 Axis CNC milling machine TABLE-TABLE type. I have masterCAM-2017 cracked version, on that I find Haas VMC post processor similar to my machine too , Has been generated G-code by using Hass post processor for my component, but the thing I need to know how to change machine operating dimensions of XYZAB axis's , it is giving me 76mm to move in z axis for home position since my machine can move only 48mm in Z axis. IS there any parameters (working dimension) need to modify in Post processor or in machine definitions ? if machine definitions need to modify then how to modify those parameters?
