Love boards that run off something other than parallel ports, which are obsolete.
Love the idea of boards that give the equivalent of 2 parallel ports worth of I/O.
Hate that all the non-parallel port ones I have tried so far (GRex/G100 and SmoothStepper) are poorly supported and missing features I think of as critical such as lathe threading or backlash comp.
First one to implement all Mach 3 features, be very reliable, reasonably priced, and well supported will take the market by storm.
The board that I used is a one off prototype, but based on what I have read on the Zone the biggest complaint is not features, but documentation!
I don't care how good a product is, if you can;t figure out how to use it, it is worthless! How many times have we all seen pleas for help on how to hook up a board to ZYZ software?
