Saturday, I saw an HP LaserJet 4L laser printer at a church rummage sale.

The price? A whopping 5 dollars!

Thought to myself, "there has to be something wrong with it (in addition to the missing parallel cable). Still, might be able to find a usable stepper motor or something..."

Bought it, took it home, plugged a cable in, hooked it up to XP and ...

Works like a charm. Now who would get rid of a perfectly good printer ???

Yes, I am a packrat. Yes, I have an Amiga 1000 in my closet...

My first day here and I find a Packrat post!! That's me

I always told my ex to tell them, " It's amazing that there was no fire after the explosion," when one of her girlfriends got a look in the shop.

That was a single car garage, now 30 years later I've got two barns a shed and a basement! And most of the stuff I had back then.

I think we need some pics here for documentation.
Here is the larger metal stuff.
Also have 1000 sq ft plus a storage container for the smaller stuff.
The worst need-it-after-throwaway was an obsolete telephone system that I hung onto for about ten years. Had a buyer a week after it hit the dumpster.
Could have sold it for a grand.

In the front right you can see the engine half of a 35 kw generator currently up for redo. I managed to pick up 4 of them.

Ultimate I have seen.

Note all the military/firerescue/etc vehicles along the northern fence.
There are at least 10 military aircraft here.
Every shed is FULL.
This is a private rural collection.
Bottom RH corner is DC3. Moved since I saw it last.
Mid screen is a Canberra Bomber.
It is a pity the google picture is not better resolution.

For privacy I have not included the google maps link.
