Just started the table design for my TM1. I would like to know if any body has water table/tank plans or any link to where I can find them ? I will be filling my table via comp. air into a seperate bladder under the table. If anyone can shed some light on the Physics ( do's and don'ts ) of this type design it would be very much appreciated !!! Thanks guys, and I'll start posting pics as soon as they are available. Oh and by the way, It's a 5 x 10 .......TM1 Ben88ner |

Ok guys, I've been a huge fan of this site for some time now. and decided to take the plunge and buy a TM1 kit. that being said, once I recieved the kit, I quickly realized that it wasn't what I was going to need to get the job done at my shop. No insult ment to Torchmate by any means, in my on opinion they have done a great job of providing a low buck diy kit for first timers. So , after some research, sketches, phone calls, long conversations with an engineer buddy of mine over a "few" cl's I came to the conclusion that what I was going to need was something more like a TM3 or 4. However, since I already had the tm1 kit. I decided to go with it, " slightly " modified that is......So basicly It will be a 5' x 10' water table unit with dhc, and torchmates plate marker, and laser locater attachment. Thhe gantry is al aluminum with dual x floating stepper drives, and a floating stepper drive on the y axis. all running on 15mm linear rails. the table gets flooded via a 2 hp pool pump from a 250 gal plastic rectagular holding tank mounted below the table. all systems and components will be controlled from the station mounted on the gantry it's self. the station will house all electronics, modules, computer , as well as a 15" touchscreen monitor. So with out any further adue, here it is so far guys....tell me what you think so far ! |
