| Of course, you DO know that maximum torque of a stepper is when that stepper is standing still? Torque decreases as RPM increases. Compared to THAT monster, my Grizzly SX3 is tiny. I am sporting 425 Oz/in motors on X and Y and 1200 Oz/in on the Z axis. CR. |

| derated 150oz in on mine at stall, more like 40oz-in at 125ipm. plenty of power for a little kx1 milling hrc58 steel believe it or not. my new gantry will have the same, but thats light weight on linear rails, so it still managed 300ipm with high acceleration. ive said before in other threads, i think people tend to overpower their hobby machines |
