It had been almost 4 years now, I haven't order any precision tool like test indicator, dial indicator. Today I did and it seem everything is went up by 10 to 15 percent, do you guys feel the same way too/just me? I sold some of mine tools I though I won't need it again ........ now I need one.

| Remember the US dollar has dropped in value compared to a lot of other currencies so any imported tooling can be expected to cost more now.

Or! if you put it down somewhere safe you'll never find it again. Precision tooling here in the UK doesn't seem to have changed much, one of my cutters costs about 400 quid, I think they were about the same last year.

| I bought a used TopOne USA Bridgeport knockoff with a millstar III control and it will not work. Where can I get replacement software for this control? I runs on windows 95 which comes up but I can not activate the mititoyo controls. Any way to do this? thank You Robert Grantham. lbshooter@tds.net |

| Machine tool builders supply is still good and they need to turn it into cash. Once these in-stock maachines are gone, All the manufacturers need to be oprepared for a 20%-30% increase in price. Just part of the Inflation thing that is going to hit everyone..... If your thinking about buying a mahcine, talk about in-stock pricing and you will do well..... I am a distributor. |

That is something that always gets me when I see those commercials on gold, "Our dollar is dropping, but gold never loses it's value and go's up". Thats not true at all, gold went up because are dollar went down. Your still paying the same price for gold and gold is worth the same, but a dollar is just worth less. Also a good thing to live by is never sell your tools, unless your out of the business completely and don't ever plan on doing whatever it is you do with those tools again. I sold a big horizontal band saw that needed some work a couple years ago that I wish I would've never sold even though it was just setting there collecting rust, heinsight. |
