Question Plasma Cam table sizes?

Does PlasmaCam make any other tables besides the 4x4 size?

That also make a 5x10 table. It's called a Samson (that's what I have).
They have a retrofit kit for their 4x4 table that makes it 4x8.

Thanks for the reply, how do you like the PlasmaCam system? Does it do everything you had envisioned? I'm looking around right now for a good simple system yet durable for possible production work.
Thanks again for your input

Yes it does what I expected. The torch height control is excelent. It does have some motion issues at high cutting speeds. I have been cutting production parts for almost two years with it now and have had zero problems with it. I don't use the plasmacam software for drawing parts I do all of that in autocad. You do have to use it to run the machine. It is fairly easy to get used to.

I have the PlasmaCam DHC2....which is the 4 x 4 version.....other than size, it is the same as the Samson. Like Plasmapunk says...the height control is great......many people do not realize how important good height control - in terms of both pierce height and cut height is to cut quality and consumable life with a plasma system. The PlasmaCam software is easy to learn, easy to use....even for someone that has never done CAD drawing or run a cnc machine. Just put a Hypertherm torch on it and you are all set to go!

Hi Jim,
I see on the picture on plasmacam web, they use manual torch. Is that right? So, actually we could use manual plasma torch on the z axis. If it could, then it is cheaper and we could use it manually without changing torch.

PlasmaCam machines are sold with a manual plasma torch holder as standard equipment.....you can get a holder for a mchine torch if desired. You must use a plasma that has a blowback (non high frequency) start process with PlasmaCam.......as well as with most entry level cnc machines that use a PC as the control....due to electrical noise interference that can be caused by a high frequency start circuit.

I prefer to use a machine torch on my PlasmaCam.....it is much easier to square the torch to the plate, and with my setup (pics attached) it is easier to inspect the consumables in the torch. The additional cost for the machine torch is well worth it for productivity and accuracy advantages. The Hypertherm plasma system that I use has a quick disconnect for the torch....I leave the machine torch mounted on the machine, and if I want to use the hand torch it takes seconds (no tools) to switch torches....I use a Hypertherm Powermax45.
