    Program Software

My buddy has just bought a Plasmacam machine and is setting it up. I am looking at the software for drawing and importing .dxf files.

My questions is have most of you continued to use the software that came with the machine for programming or have you purchase another cadcam package or would recommend one for whatever reason.

We are looking to make aircraft quality cuts for tooling and custom work.

    Thank You

We use autocad or Rhino at the shop where I work. I find the plasmacam software pretty difficult to use except for the most basic stuff. In fact, because we have other software available I never use it.

I don't think that you can use any other software for control of the machine.

You can use any CAD (I like TurboCAD, it's cheap and easy$75) for drawing and design. Corel Draw is also excellent for vector graphics conversion.
