Ok, so I got my plasmacam setup. It's an older model, the 98-Z made to drag thus no DHC. My question is this. Is there someplace online or some #'s people can share with me for starting points in terms of. Steel Thickness, IPM, and Power setting on my hypertherm. I started playing around realized if I had a "starting point" I could use WAY LESS steel, consumables, and time learning and setting this machine up. Thanks -Todd

Todd, Use the manual that came with your Hypertherm plasma. Use the "optimum speed settings. These cut charts were developed by Hypertherm process engineers....and they are the best starting points. Jim Colt

I'm not familiar with the 98-Z I seem to remember Hypertherm has a chart in their user manual; there is a decent range that is usable; if you give the thickness I can tell you what we use, though I'm not an expert - only use it for testing our machines
