It is a used plasma cam with a Thermel Dynamics cutmaster 51. It was bought 3 to 4 years ago. They used it for 1 to 1 1/2 years and how it is in storage. I can get it for 3,500.00... Is this a good deal..... Thanks Brian |

| You need to check and see if the software comes with it and if the company has the right to sell or give it away. I think there may be a transfer fee on the software that needs to be figured in the price. No other software can be used to the machine. |

| 1. New servos 2. New servo drivers 3. Power supply 4. BOB 5. Mach3 6. Sheetcam (or equivalent CAM program) 7. Torch height controller Because PlasmaCam is all proprietary components, meaning there is not much chance for you to just "plug in" Mach. You would basically be buying a bunch of angle steel bolted together for 3500 bucks. If you buy it as-is, then you are still left with the software transfer fees and perhaps finding out WHY it was left in storage for so long. If you wind up having to replace some of the hardware, then you could easily wind up spending the same amount you would have to purchase a brand new machine elsewhere. Just my opinion, of course.

| There might be a way to make the motors that are already there work with different drivers, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it as of yet. In the end, even at the 3500 price, you could build a new machine yourself.
