No wonder! A cutmaster 100xl does not exist! You probably have a PAK Master 100XL.

Sure,,, you can make this unit work but you would have to add some extra shielding because of its high voltage start. Really the thing that I like about the plasmacam is that you can make any cutter work on the machine...Trust me I got a PAK Master 75XL to work before I decided on the Hypertherm. I highly recommend getting something with a blow back starting mechanism instead.... to avoid the hassle. A Hypertherm Powermax is a better way to go because all of the units have blow back starting mechanisms instead of the high voltage ones that the PAK master series have.

Come on COLT...feel free to chime in hear!

    Go ahead and use it!

Just make sure to take the extra shielding precautions and you will be fine. According to the tech guys at plasmacam, the newer machines were designed to handle the higher voltage systems, so If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it that much. Then when you are ready or can afford it, get a Hypertherm.

    Thanks,

    Richard.
