Hello everyone,
So, I'm a student at Napa (California) Valley College in the welding program, and I've been tasked with getting our plasma cam system operational. So far everything works great, save for one small issue...It doesn't cut. I have a feeling it's the torch control cable (TCC) but would like a second opinion, if anybody has one for me.
I've tested the TCC as per the integrity test page that we have with all the other paper work, and here are the results...
measured | should be
pin 1 -> red wire : O.L. | 680k ohms
pin 2 -> large black wire : 3.8 ohms | 0 ohms
pin 1 -> pin 2 : O.L. | 33k ohms
pin 4 -> thin black wire : 0 ohms | 0 ohms
pin 5 -> thin white wire : 0 ohms | 0 ohms
I'd say those measurements are pretty straight forward, I need a new torch control cable. But like I said, I'm a student, and COULD possibly be missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...
