What arc voltage shifts are you guys running on your cutmasters? I've tried the .75 that George from pcam suggested, but it just dives into the plate. I've fought this since I bought the machine and have just been running it with out the AHC.
I found some info earlier on the web pertaining to arc shift in Plasma cams
"1.Set a cutting height
2.Set a starting arc voltage shift (1.25 by default)
3.Cut something, a straight line a few inches long works well
4.Stop the cut halfway through
5.Go out to the plasma cutter and actually measure the distance between the tip and the metal
6.If the tip is higher off the metal than the cutting height set in step 1, decrease the arc voltage shift by 0.05. If the tip is lower off the metal than the cutting height set in step 1, increase the arc voltage shift by 0.05 Repeat steps 3 to 6 until the height of the tip matches the cutting height set in step 1. "
The tip height will chase the voltage shift, if the shift is set high the tip will go high to get to it.
It looks like your shift maybe set to low. Try the default 1.25 to see what happens.
Also saw that there is a setting somewhere in there to "stop z axis on contact" check that. might save a major crash
