    Poor cut quality

I am running a plasmacam with a TD52 with shielded consumables. I have tried every amp setting and cut speed and this the best I could get 16g to cut.

    75 ipm
    Cut Height .187
    40 Amps & 40a tip

Also there was enough heat I guess it caused the letter M to melt some.

Is expecting better results than this unrealistic?

Lower your cut hieght to about .060 and increase your speed to about 150ipm the increased speed will decrease the dross on the bottom of the plate. Also check your consumables for wear. Just my opinion as i am a rookie at this

Got it cutting better now. Lowered my cut height.

    I'm running a DH2 and Design Edge.

The typical cut height for a TD torch is .07 and the Arc Voltage Shift will be .750

    GOOD ADVICE

    Dear Steve
the best is just take it cool & easy and do it by your self.
its a game between you and the machine.
