New plasma build from UK..

Spent 3 months building this, now ready to plug in.
Thanks must go to Fiero addiction, jcar, bigtoy302,dnelso and justin407 and others for inspiration..
Will be building a 8 x 4 water table to fit under underneath.
Using a plaspak 1a system from candcnc which i managed to pick up on ebay as an uncompleted project.
Now I have the big Mach 3 learning curve to conquer.
Sure hope it all works!

Alan,

Your off to a good start, everything mechanically looks like it will perform great. What gear ratio did you select? Your are correct it is a very similar design that I just finished constructing... Are you building your waterbed out of alum. / steel? What type of plasma unit are you going to use on the machine?

I used 4:1 reduction, I found the most important part was making a real good pivot with out slop. I'm going to make a small 3 x 4 ft water table out of steel ..just to get me up and running. I went for the Hypertherm powermax 45as a lot of people seem to have really good results. Not cheap here in the UK! Will add a machine torch went I can see it working.
