    bob cad

    Anybody using bob cad for plasma? I have been to 3 day class and still lost. They said to use mill but I am going to call and demand to set icons for plasma.
    What are other pepole using.

    Todd,

    Bob Cad is for Lathe, Mill, and Wire EDM. You can modify a post processor for your plasma and yes you will be using the mill end of the software.

    You also might be better off with something else IMPO.

    Bobcad Plasma

    I asume you alredy own Bobcad if you went to the class If soren is still teaching it The class is great but with anything you can only absorbe so much in the time alotted. I'v been using it for mill and just getting into lathe and want to do plasma soon I would think you could adapt an existing post to generate the G code maybe would require wrighting som script's for tourch hight and startup The bobnest would be a great material saver nesting part's and i would have to belive that they were looking at that when they desinged it Good luck Kevin
