What control did you replace? We have a old Burney 5 we may upgrade.
I recently upgraded my 12 year old plasma table to servos w/ 16 to 1 gear heads and wow! The machine is so accurate I now have to upgrade my gantry guide, I currently have v groove wheels. I would like to add a air scribe plate marker so I will need to deal with upward force.
I see that torchmate has what appears to be a dry linear guide with 8 roller bearings on there gantry.
-Are these as good as they look?
-Can they or anything like them be purchased from a manufacture?
Thanks for any suggestions

We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
I have tried a number of kits.. but never really gotten where I wanted until now
I ended up using Jim Cullins @ sound logic breakout board and thc300, mach 3, g320 drives, nema 23 sevos w/16 to 1 gear head, 72v 20a power supply, and sheetcam
If it would be helpful I can post some photos of my box.. Let me know
I cant say enough good thing about Jim Cullins, in the 15 years Ive had a buisness no one has ever given me the customer service he has.

Ironarbor,
I am using THC-300 same as you. I think Jim is a good support in my opinion.
