    Inexpensive Cable Carrier?

I have been looking around for cable carrier solutions and it seems that this stuff is pretty expensive. I guess its a niche market for this stuff as it seems to run about $15-$20 per foot.... Is there such a thing as inexpensive cable carrier? I'm specifically looking for this type of cable management system; I know I could just always zip tie and use some type of tubing but Id like to stay away from it. Thanks!

I just purchased this for our retro fit:

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

It is a pretty large size but I put in a hi- heat liner on both sides to keep the pierce boogers from burning up stuff. I would go with it even though it may seem expensive, it does a good job of keeping your stuff protected and clutter free.

Ebay has a lot of e-chain.

Thanks for the suggestion, ebay looks like the place to buy from. One question though (and this may be a stupid question) but can the chain be unsnapped and shortened? I would assume so just by looking at it but just checking before I buy. Thanks.

Another eBay option is "cable drag", a term I'd never heard of before. Has some more choices than just Igus.

Here is a little less expensive option as well from McMaster Carr.
    McMaster-Carr
    The smooth travel stuff.
One size is $50 for 6' length plus mounting brackets.

I'm currently building a plasma and it would work for the X axis, nut doubt it would do well with the torch cabling.

Yes it can. It can also be lengthened. Make sure it has both ends too. It might be hard to find one just one end.

You can try here as well: Find wire carrier at Sourcingmap.com

A little better prices because it's straight from China. Downside is shipping takes a few days.

    Thanks for that last link.
I ordered a couple of them from there. A small one for X and a midsize one for the gantry.
I'll let you know how it goes, but I feel fairly confident because they accept Paypal. Paypal generally sides with the buyer more. This is two of these including shipping for about $45.00. Cheaper than Mcmaster.

I've ordered coolant line, loc-line clone, from them before. Everything was fine, just took a while for shipping.
