    New water table

I have an aluminium water table on my plasma table. The steel particles are now starting to corrode thru the alloy surface. I want to build a new one and am thinking it should be made from pre galvanised sheet. Anyone have any views on this? Are there any down sides to this ?

You are getting a reaction from the two different materials. Go with plain steel and use the plasma quench recipe (sodium nitrite and physan) to stop the rust. I have some pieces in the bottom of our tray that have been there since the water table was installed and they look like the day they were cut, bright and rust free.

    Just one avenue of thought.

Not sure if the sodium nitrite will react with the galvanised, but pretty sure the steel you are cutting will react with the galvanised sheet, again two disimilar metals.

You could try and mix up a gallon batch kinda strong and put some galv pieces in there. ebay has planty of the stuff in both large and small quantities.
