Torch S45 = low frequency start?

Hi, looking for a cheap plasma cutter i see that some chinese plasma machines have the S45 torch as standard equipment. I add a picture of this torch.
My question is: those plasma cutters have always low frequency-low tension-low noise start?
    Thanks.

    Hi Balestraio,

this torch is probably a Trafimet model:
    Plasma cutting torches
Also fitted on the the (italian) Telwin plasma cutters.

Their site has some info on the startpulses.
Regarding your questions, as far as I know: yes, it is high frequency, yes it is high voltage, yes much noise (electrical interference) into your system.

I have had a Telwin Technology plasmacutter for a while. It is not intended for cnc use. It worked on my mach3 controlled table though (a little low on duty-cycle).

    regards, arthur

    Hi Arthurmetal,
you've right! all bad high frequency start telwin plasma mount this kind of torch.
I'm wondering if S45 torch woud mean low tension start since i look at Everlast catalogue. Only the powerplasma50 has this torch and its start is non HF.
So i thought this generator would be ok for CNC use:
    Welbach PROLOX60 von Stamos Germany | stamos-schweissgeraete.de

By the way, do you know an inexpensive plasma generator wich has low electromagnetic emissions, for simple CNC use, wich is avaliable in Europe?
    Thanks.

    Hi balestraio!
I've bought a SMMA-250PI inverter from Stamos and I'm not satisfied with it. It had a fault after just one day of use and they couldn't give me a proper warranty. These Stamos are Chinese stuff of bad quality.
That plasma won't with a CNC. You should consider something better, like a Hypertherm Powermax 45 415V .

Hi, Fanefane. Thanks for your advice! Only i have already bought that plasma gen. However it's ok. It's a low frequency and voltage start. Or it's a HF, i do not know, but in both cases it doesn't disturb or make any electrical noises to my system and this is enough! It has also a built in board with some relays to make generator on, pilot arc on and cut start output signals (now i'm using the pilot arc on signal, Mach3 check it before starts to travel)
Now, i'm in trouble with consumables life, but this is a trafimet torch problem i think.
