Yeah it's a tough one, there is a lot more setup in servos, I am planning a change from steppers (270oz/in) to servos at around 400W but the bigest hurdle I'm facing is to eliminate the HF noise as I plan to move up to HD. Things just go silly if I go above 3800mm/min (150IPM). I like the flash cut hardware and software I currently use and I'm thinking I can keep the software and signal generator, just replace the stepper driver and power supply and the motors and cableing, put in home and limit switches. The AVHC I use will also need to change I think. I'd prefer if the software could incorporate the torch height, I know Mach3 does but the other options in flashcut are nice.
I am desigining a new 5x10 table, up from 8x4, But I have the advantage of having a plasma cnc to make any bits I need.
What system are you thinking of going with besides Candcnc drive systems.
I hope I'm right on the facts, I only started looking at upgrades about a month ago.
