| Wiring the step motors I have the 495 oz package from keling, i have two motors for the gantry, one of these should go with the rotation inverted , how do I have to wire it? The two motors are wired to the same x axis? Luis |

| I'm sure someone else can straighten you out on this. My understanding is, you have to have them wired in a master/slave arrangement using (2) stepper controllers.

| If you set it up via software, then the 2nd motor is setup as a slave to the X axis. In the software setup invert the dir pin on the setup.

| Thanks, but dont understand, I know i can change the rotation in the software, but one has to go backwards, then it should be wire inverted, isnt it? |

My Steppers came pre wired with plugs on them. They were all wired the same. I changed direction in Mach3 ports & pins. When you changd direction in the software it esentially does the same thing. Reverses polarity.

| Thanks millman, but I think I have to wire the 4th motor to the A input, isn't it? |

| Yes wire the 4th axis as A. Setup the A ports and pins as wired. You will the control the rotation of the 4th axis in relation to the axis you slave it too. So you set the DIR pin of the A axis state to either low true or high true to get it to rotate the direction you need it verses the slaved axis. No motor wiring changes needed. Before you mechanically connect the slaved axis motors, do the software setup and test it.

Definitely Test the rotation! Even the 495 steppers especially through reduction could twist your gantry out of alignment. Or cause damage elswhere.
