| Sources for gear rack Guys, I am looking for a supplier for the gear rack practical cnc used or something close. The rack is 24 pitch 1/4" wide but it is about 1-1/2" tall. Mcmaster sells24 pitch rack but it is only 1/4 x 1/4. Thanks for the help. P.S. I tried the search here on cnczone and it seems hard to find things maybe just me. |

| check out Bostongear.com and search for Marting sprockets [ they also do gearing] Or grab your phone book, look up " Bearing supply". Pick out a company or two and give them a shout. They will most likely have sources that the rest of us might not be able to easily find. I've also heard people talk of the great deal's they get from various specific suppliers. I find that calling my local supply is generally cheaper in the long run [for simple stuff like this] than getting something shipped in from across country for a few bucks less. There's value in shopping locally. It's also not uncommon to get the exactly same stuff from the local supply that you'd get from 1000miles away, made in the same factory etc.. FWIW Jerry
