Ive been searching around for information, but figured I'd ask. I'm building a 5x10 plasma table. I have my plasma (snap-on ya5550a 50a). The mechanical part is no problem. What motors and controllers do you guys reccomend? Its going to be a rack or timing belt driven design on bearings. Light weight tubing for gantry. I've seen most are using Mach 3 for software. Just wondering what type of steppers to go with and what is a good controller for the money? Going to be cutting mostly 1/4" and down. I'm trying to keep the price down (way down) Thanks in advance.  |
