Been racking my brain trying to figure out slat supports. Something that doesn't include cutting, cleaning, and welding 150 pieces of angle iron. I think I got it.
One note, and I know someone here already had to do it twice. Welding up a water pan from scratch is a bad idea. Better off getting one bent somewhere, or better yet, make it a part of the table
Oh yeah, it was about $250 cheaper to get a Powermax 85 without the serial out + the serial upgrade board, than it was to buy one with the serial built in.
Been short on time, project deadline approaching. Learning software, not just mach3/sheetcam but autocad too, apparently these parts don't design themselves. Machine shop time tomorrow, making the x/z axis supports. Found some scrap yard parts again to help me out with the floating torch mount and x axis drag chain support... Expecting to cut out some Christmas presents just in time. The whole "no experience in any of this" thing is taking it's toll. Everything good so far, zero backlash on y axis, no springs + 75 cent scrap yard 5:1 gearheads.
