    Question CNC PLASMA/ROUTER

    HI!

I PROJECT TO BUILD A 48"X48" CNC PLASMA CUTTER 4 AXES THAT I CAN REPLACE TE TORCH BY A ROUTER MOTOR ON THE "Z" AXE.
MY QUESTION IS ABOUT THE "X" AXES, SHOULD I USE ONE MOTOR IN CENTER OR TWO MOTOR EACH SIDE ON THE "X" AXES FOR MOVING THE GENTRY TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL IS SOLID AND STABLE. IF I USE 2 MOTOR, HOW CAN I CONFIGURE IT TO RUN AT THE SAME TIME...

    P.S. I WILL USE NEMA34 MOTOR

    THANKS

For a plasma cutter, logic dictates that you would not use a central screw, but dual screws instead. Plasma cutting is a dirty grimy business. You want the screws as far away from that as possible. Mine is rack and pinion and works great.
