    Default Plasma Machine 2600x1600

Hello all! Thanks to everybody for the information, I've gathered anything I could from everybody. I'll use a PowerMax 65 and water table. Later I'll buy a THC somewhere from Europe.

    Here are the first photos:

I've made an other cnc after the Mechmate project before and got some experience. I have prepared the aluminium on my old cnc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpXsciBiQhY]Aluminium Milling Mechmate - YouTube

Hello. I asked asked candcnc about the THC, but they didn't give me any answer regarding the shipping to Romania. Perhaps they don't want to sent to Romania. What do you of this Proma-Elektronika - Producentr Sterownikw Mikroprocesorowych http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouu-5mLDNwU]Plasma THC Controller + CNConv USB program - Automated Torch Height - YouTube ? Could this work right with Powermax 65?

    Hi Fanefane,

Although I am from europe I have serious problems with reading the romanian text. That makes it difficult to comment on that perticular THC unit. If this digital readout in the video displays the tip voltage it doesn't look good at all.
A Netherlands based suppliers called Leeuwinga index imports a thc set from south africa, retail price Euro 365,-. (it is only specified in his pricelist) You might ask him.
    regards, Arthur

    Hi Fanefane,

Your machine looks very good. Good thing you invested in the powermax.
IMO you defenitely need a THC (and some ventilation of the shop!)
I looked into the THC-unit you mentioned in your earlier post. It is from Poland, unfortunatly their website is in flash or something like that so it can't be translated by google. But they made a short manual in english available here: http://proma-elektronika.pl/download/doc/thc_en.pdf.
It looks like a handsome and basic unit. Only the hysteresis, adjustable from 2-100V, is probably way to high. As I understand it, it should be less than 1V!

If it could work with your powermax-65? The question is if you can get it to work with your Z-axis controls. The powermax only supplies the arc high-voltage inputsignal and ARC-ok signal for the THC.

Wonder what this unit costs. I didn't find many suppliers of THC units in Europe yet. Plenty of all the other cnc goodies though. Please let me/us know if you know more on this subject.
I was very happy I could lay my hands on a THC300B from Texas MicroCircuits 2 years ago.

    Regards, Arthur

I'm waiting for the THC from CandCNC.

I hope it will work well.

@Arthur I had a wooden grate and that was the reason for so much smoke (and it was too cold outside to open the windows).
