Can you post g-code?
After about a year building my first CNC router, using the PalentCNC Mk3/4 as the brain, I finally ran it this evening!
Started off with a simple square on some scrap MDF, which worked well. Also ran a very simple V-Carve line, to see how it would run with the extra depth of cut, all went well.
Then tried to V-Carve some text, which went very wrong! Thinking it was me running before I could walk, I went back to cut a simple circle, but it didn't come out at all correctly...
Basic linear movement and homing in all 3 axes is fine, no obvious jamming on any of the lead screws & even ran above the workpiece in case the cutter loading was causing issues, but it followed a similar path.
Linear movement is smooth (for such long thin lead-screws) at a feed of up to 1000 (100mm/s), cutting much slower at about 500 (50mm/s).
Checked that the 36V PSU for the steppers wasn't being shorted out & that seemed fine too.
Created code from a DXF, through CamBam 0.9.8 and into USBController, all the time the paths looked fine.
Did a check on SPU & corrected that a while ago.
Feels like it's something software-ish, steppers not getting the correct pulses, or some part of the
So i'm a bit lost as to where to start looking to figure out what I've done wrong... Any guidance would be welcome

I've been upgrading to the TNG version of the software, took some time to get all the setting mapped across, so not had a chance to run a second test yet, plus it's freezing in my garage! Ended up logging in remotely in from my study, watching the machine via an old webcam
I think it might be feed rate, while setting up the new system the steppers would stop turning as the step rate increased, then catch back up as the step rate slowed down again.
Only using some cheap drivers at the moment, TB6600's I think, kept the project within the budget I had at the time. Planning on upgrading them at some point, might get a faster feed rate.
Hopefully run a test over the next few days & post up how it all goes
