    Default Powering Mk3/4

    Hi,

The manual says the external power is 8-24V @200mA. Is this external supply really needed when connected to a computer since the board is supplied with power from the USB port. A standard USB2 port can supply 500mA. I am confused as to why a separate power input is required in this situation. I would have thought you would only need to connect it if you had no computer and where using an SD card for the g-code.

    Cheers
    Simon

External power supply is really needed. Without it controller will be unstable.
