So How Do I......Program the PIC

Hi All
Its been along time since I posted on cnczone, mainly because I got side tracked with other projects.

From my inital cnc efforts I have a picstep board that needs programmed,
I have an old Pictstart Plus with up to date firmware, MPLAB IDE v7.4.

I can select the device and enable the programmer ok, but I dont know how to get the picstep code into the chip?? Can anyone give me pointers on how to do this?

I know I should read the instructions but I just finished night shift and I had little sleep since so my brain is on the go slow

I think I got my answer,
select device - 16f628a
select programmer - Picstart Plus
enable programmer,
File> Import... : select Hex of required file
Programmer> Program....


am happy I think, have to finish off controller and connect to pc and see if i can spin a motor,
will report back
