You also might be overloading the LMD's and they are thermal shutting down after 20 seconds (they're very smart little devices and can handle a fair amount of abuse). Do you have adequate heatsinking? What voltage does your power supply spit out? What current limiting resistors do you have the LMD's set to? What sized motor are you driving? Are any coils shorted?

    Cheers,

Thanks for your reply Alan !

Thermal shutting ==> i'm not sure because, he's don't hot, and i 've a adequate heatsinking)

My power supply is a 33v in 12A

    I've use 10KOhms for limitation (R2 & R4)

    I drive a stepper motor Astrosyn ref: 23lm-c355-27 (2.6v - 2A)

I've tension in my LMD's and if i run my program, i can see varation of tension in the pin 8.7.6.4 in the LMD (control).

But i've no variation in pin 1.15 !!!

    It's crazy , i desoldering r5.r6 resistors, but no variation !!!

my pic is OK (programm and alimentation).
my LMD's is OK (alimentation, and control)

It's very very very bizarre that 3 cards have the same problem !!!

    Please help me

Make sure the brake line is grounded. If you are seeing signal changes on the control lines to each of the LMD's (4,6,7,8) and you can see changes on pin 11 on the LMD's then the PIC is working correctly and you have a supply problem or you're R1,R3,C1,C3 are incorrect values and the chopper circuit isn't oscillating. Or you're R2 and R4 value are incorrect.

You have to make sure the BRAKE line is shorted to ground else nothing will happen at all.

    Alan,
