Default PICStep V4 (or how to not have to debug your own BOB but use someone elses!)

    Hi guys,

Well I've updated PICStep once again. Now it's V4.0, and it is now pin compatible with PMinMO.com drivers. Which this means instead of using my BOB's you can us his instead!

I've also included a spot for two capacitors on the board if you want to use a crystal instead of a resonator, also the step mode jumpers are now on the driver and aren't located on the BOB anymore.

I'll be updating my own BOB's to use this new interface shortly, is should allow good interoperability and give you guys a good choice for drivers and interfaces.

Check it out here, I'm also rattling my tin if anyone wants to contribute!

    Cheers,
    Alan.

    Dear Alan,
Again Thank you very much for such a nice stepper driver board with full of functionality... I have few questions for you and i hope you will answer me please.
1- I am using 20MHz xtal. Can you tell me what settings of the fuses with 20MHz xtal i have to keep for loading the hex in PIC...
2- Very humbly, why you have not kept the Fuses settings in the HEX file...
3- Can you please explain a little about the Reduction time and OFF time?.. If suppose i use the OFF time what will happen if i am cutting something on my CNC and the stepper OFF?..I am very newbie and please answer my stupid questions.
4- The same question as above, can i use TIME OFF Settings for my CNC?
5- I am also working on a SOLAR PANEL TRACKING SYSTEM based on mathematical model. I also attract to use the PICSTEP , If i understand well , In Time Off, after sometime if motors recieve no signal from the controller software, the motor will be in Power Off mode.. If this is right then your controller is most suitable candidate for my solar tracker circuit as i have to moe the panel each after 5 minutes.

    Please appreciate your reply Alan.
