I'mm newbie and have questions regarding PIC16F84 1. PIC 16F84 is easily available here. Can I use PIC 16F84 A instead being hight MHz with Linistepper ? And How? 2. As I cant get geko or something else in my conntry and can't import either, I have to build suitable drives from scratch. So if Linistepper is OK with Joe's CNC as I have old xerosx steppers rated at 2.5,3.25 & 3.35 ? Linistepper Drive Controller 3. How to programme PIC, that is hardware/software and process etc. Thanks P.K. |

| When I started with PIC's the tutorials on this site helped me alot. http://www.winpicprog.co.uk/pic_tutorial.htm He also has a programming Forum site. I use the K149B programmer from Kitsrus.com. PicMicro site has all kinds of application notes and code, also free development software, the MPlab IDE free download should get you started.
