    Afternoon Al The Man,

    I'm looking to make a speed sensor for my bicycle. I have a friend who can program the pic. He just wasn't sure what pic to use. The pic will only need to store three to four peices of data, as the sensor is to only tell me when I'M SLOWING DOWN. not how fast im going. If you can help that would be great. The pic will tell me when I'm slowing down by sounding an alarm or light up some LED's

    for a few cents more you could have 3, 7 segment displays tell you how fast you are going and also beep when u are slowing down

    I agree.
    Sorry I did not respond sooner, but there is a whole raft of applications papers on the MicroChip site that many of which could be adapted to what you want and give you all manner of extra features for very little extra cost.
