I just came across this cool clock by Roman Black using the Linistepper. http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/st...lock/index.htm This clock reminded me of the Jefferson mystery clocks. These clocks use the 1 rph movement of the dial/minute hand to drive the hour hand, via an ingenious counterweight and divider gear. Jefferson Golden Hour Jefferson Electric Clock Troubleshooting, Restoration and Improvements The 'bay has 220v,50hz AC gear motors for these clocks, but the DIY solution is more fun, even if convoluted and perhaps more expensive :-) Time permitting, someday I'll mod my jefferson clock with the liniclock idea and make it work on our 50hz mains. Thanks for another cool project, Roman! |
