Current sourcing in ADC for PIC 18F4620

    Hi all!

I have recently started PIC programming and dont have much know-how regarding hardware and specs.I have a very basic question for you and hope that you would help me out.

I am working on a Data acquisition kind-of a system and am monitoring the battery voltage (varying from 12 to 110v) coming in from the terminals and have a ckt in place to regulate it. Then I am finally connecting this to channel 0 of the ADC (AN0) through and opamp (LM324).

i need to consider the noise issues and current sourcing limits. Could you guide me on these? Also are there any other issues that I could face when using the ckt in an industrial environment?

Hope to here from you soon!

Do you want to monitor the voltage before the voltage regulator or after? You say the battery input voltage will vary from 12V to 110V. This sounds like a crazy range. Please, clarify your circuit and the voltages on the inputs and after the regulator.

Concerning current sourcing, What do you mean? current sourcing of your regulator? Are you worried about the connecting 110V directly to the ADC input and damaging something.

Please, clarify what you need and perhaps provide a schematic.
