I have a home built 20 hp Rotary converter. When a load is applied, the balance between the legs is within 4 volts. My problem arises with my CNC machine. 1st the VFD will not stop as it says high voltage and 2nd the 3 phase servo drive blew quickly as I applied power. The paper work on the drive said it would not handle voltage above 268 volts. I checked the manufactured leg and it showed 280 volts. I then applied power to another machine and the VFD would start the. Can anyone tell me how to solve this dilema. racear |

How are your run caps hooked up? do you have run caps from AtoC and BtoC. When balanced you should read no more than 5% difference on generated leg than your incoming single phase with no load. Do not measure any leg to ground you must measure phase phase. |
