Build A Rotary Conv

I was preparing to build myself a Rotary Converter. I had a motor that I purchased and to my amazement it says 480 v and has two different speed shown 1750 and 875rpm. Also has two different HP' shown 5/2.5hp. Please tell me if I can use or do I need to use it as a door stop.

If the motor is 480V only this will not work to my knowledge. If it could be used Im sure it would be cheaper to find a dual voltage motor.

man dont tell me that. My good friend (that I purchased this motor from) assured me it would work. Now it sounds like I got to get a new motor and a new friend. Motor is easier to get.
